The Office of the Delaware County Prosecuting Attorney is charged with the responsibility of representing the State of Indiana in all felony and misdemeanor criminal prosecutions, resulting from crimes committed within Delaware County,

In addition, the Delaware County Prosecuting Attorney convenes and supervises "Grand Jury" proceedings, enforces child support orders entered in certain divorce and paternity cases, prosecutes traffic and other infraction violations of State Law, conducts juvenile adjudications and prosecutions, and provides information and assistance to the victims of crime.

Someone needs to get the Department of Corrections under control. They keep adding more and more “time cuts” in order to release criminals early. This is ridiculous. We MUST have truth in sentencing. A judge imposed a sentence - and that sentence must be carried out.

A repeat drunk driver is expected to be released from prison one year into his three-year prison sentence, due in part to a state program that allows offenders to get time cuts from their sentences.

I couldn’t agree more.

Prosecutors and judges across Indiana need to stop the revolving door by aggressively holding repeat offenders accountable, imposing meaningful sentences, and keeping violent criminals locked up so they can’t keep targeting our brave men and women who wear the badge.

Our law enforcement officers protect our communities every single day. They run toward the danger when others run away. They answer the call, even when it means risking everything. It's an impossible job, and yet they do it over and over again.

They deserve nothing but our absolute support.
