US National Weather Service Grand Rapids Michigan forecast is remaining consistent, though a slight shift in the storm track could result in greater/lesser snow totals.

WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM WEDNESDAY TO 11 PM EST THURSDAY...

❄️ WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 10 inches.

📍WHERE...Eaton and Ingham counties.

🕑 WHEN...From 2 AM Wednesday to 11 PM EST Thursday.

⚠️ IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions will impact the morning and evening commutes on Wednesday.

RTFD is saddened by the news of the loss of Elsie Area Firefighter Zach Miller.
Our condolences go to his family and to the Elsie Area Fire Dept.

RTFD expresses it's condolences to the family of Firefighter/Paramedic James Swindlehurst and to his brothers & sisters of the Dewitt Twp Fire Department and Mercy Ambulance Service. James passed away Christmas Eve due to complications from work related COVID-19.

Update…suspect is in custody.

Urgent..Triple Murder Suspect Wanted

ECSO needs help locating this subject. He is a suspect in a triple murder tonight in Windsor Township, just southwest of Lansing. His name is Daniel James Sougstad and he is 23 years old. He is believed to be in a black Honda Accord MI plate of CZM 350. He is believed to be armed and very dangerous, Call 911 if you see him or the car.

9:03 a.m. - Flight 175 crashes into floors 77 through 85 of the South Tower.

9:37 a.m. - American Airlines Flight 77 crashes into the Pentagon. The crash and fire kill 59 on the plane and 125 on the ground.

9:59 a.m. - The South Tower collapses after burning for 56 minutes. More than 800 people in and around the building are killed.

10:03 a.m. - United Airlines Flight 93 crashes near Shanksville, Pennsylvania after passengers and crew storm the cockpit. Forty people on board, excluding the hijackers, perish.

10:28 a.m. - The North Tower collapses after burning for 102 minutes. More than 1,600 in and around the building are killed.

We have not forgotten.

Central and Northeast Illinois
Northwest Indiana
Southwest Lower Michigan
Lake Michigan

* Effective this Saturday afternoon and evening from 105 PM
until 800 PM EDT.

* Primary threats include...
A couple tornadoes possible
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible
Scattered large hail events to 1 inch in diameter possible
