The Muldraugh Police Department has been busy over the past 24 hours.

Working in partnership with the Bowling Green Police Department, Meade County Sheriff’s Office, and Brandenburg Police Department, a van stolen from Lusk in Muldraugh was recovered in Bowling Green, and a suspect was arrested within 12 hours of the theft. Through outstanding teamwork, coordination, and the assistance of a private citizen, the case was quickly solved and the stolen vehicle was recovered.

Later that same day, Officer 951 conducted another successful enforcement action at a local business in Muldraugh, resulting in the arrest of an individual on multiple felony drug charges involving suspected fentanyl, he**in, and methamphetamine.

These cases demonstrate what can be accomplished when law enforcement agencies work together and when members of the community step forward to help. We extend our sincere appreciation to the Bowling Green Police Department, Meade County Sheriff’s Office, Brandenburg Police Department, and the private citizen whose assistance was instrumental in bringing the stolen vehicle investigation to a successful conclusion.

Outstanding work by Officer 951 and all of our law enforcement partners. Through teamwork, proactive policing, and strong community partnerships, we remain committed to protecting our citizens and holding offenders accountable.

🚨 PUBLIC SAFETY NOTICE – SOUTH PARK DISC GOLF COURSE CLOSED 🚨

Due to recent flooding, mudslides, sinkholes, and unstable ground conditions, the South Park Disc Golf Course is CLOSED until further notice.

Following a joint assessment by FEMA, Kentucky state officials, City management, and Mayor Anthony Lee, it has been determined that the area presents a significant danger to the public. Multiple sinkholes, deep washouts, and unstable ground have been identified throughout the park. In addition, several trees have fallen, while others have been undermined by erosion and are leaning with the potential to fall at any time.

With additional rainfall expected over the next 48 hours, these hazardous conditions are likely to worsen.

⚠️ For your safety, do not enter the disc golf course or any wooded areas within South Park. Barricades and caution tape have been placed to protect the public. Entering the area could result in serious injury or death due to collapsing ground or falling trees.

City officials will continue working with state and federal partners to assess the damage and make repairs as conditions allow. The park will remain closed until it has been determined safe for public access.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to keep everyone safe.

OFFICIAL PUBLIC NOTICE

The Muldraugh Police Department advises all citizens that Nelson Management Group, owner of the currently unoccupied mobile home park located on Irma Drive, has officially posted the property as No Trespassing. All mobile homes, residential structures, and surrounding property are closed to unauthorized entry.

Due to the deteriorated condition of the structures, the property has been deemed unsafe. Effective immediately, any person found entering or remaining on the property without the express permission of the property owner may be subject to criminal prosecution for criminal trespass under Kentucky law.

The property is scheduled for demolition and redevelopment as part of a future residential housing project. Until that work is completed, the area should be considered an active restricted property.

The Muldraugh Police Department asks for the public’s cooperation in respecting the property owner’s rights and avoiding this location for your own safety. Parents are encouraged to speak with their children about the dangers of entering vacant structures.

Thank you for your continued support as we work together with Nelson Management Group to promote a safer community and support future investment in the City of Muldraugh.

Exciting things are happening in Muldraugh!

The new apartment community will soon be opening and will be a great addition to housing opportunities in our city. Their on-site management team is committed to working hand in hand with the Muldraugh Police Department to help provide a safe, welcoming community for all residents.

In addition, the Sunset Apartments on Main Street are undergoing a complete renovation and are expected to offer more than 70 apartments by this fall.

Combined, these two developments will bring more than 140 new homes to Muldraugh, creating new opportunities for residents and families to call our city home. We appreciate both management teams for partnering closely with MPD to promote safety, strengthen our community, and help ensure a bright and positive future for everyone who lives here.

Welcome to Muldraugh—we’re excited about the future!

The Muldraugh Police Department would like to make residents aware that Mayor Anthony Lee and Muldraugh City Hall are actively working with local, county, state, and federal agencies as coordinated flood damage assessments continue throughout the City of Muldraugh.

Over the coming days, officials from multiple government agencies will be traveling throughout the city to inspect public infrastructure, evaluate flood-related damage, and document impacts to assist with recovery efforts and determine eligibility for available state and federal disaster assistance.

As part of these coordinated efforts, residents will notice both marked and unmarked government vehicles operating throughout the City of Muldraugh. These vehicles belong to authorized personnel conducting official damage assessments.Their presence is expected and is an important part of the community’s recovery process.

The Muldraugh Police Department asks residents to use caution around assessment crews, obey any temporary traffic control measures or road closures, and allow personnel the space needed to safely complete their work.

We appreciate the patience, cooperation, and resilience of our community as these agencies work together to assess the damage and help move Muldraugh forward in the recovery process. Additional updates will be provided as information becomes available.
