Strategic Planning Summer Update 2025-2026
A Testament to Strategic Growth and Community Impact
Bright Local Schools is proud to share the continued progress we have made through the implementation of our comprehensive Strategic Plan. Guided by our mission—"Bright Local values every family, each student, and all minds every day. We are committed to the continuous growth, achievement, and well-being of our students, staff, and community – Every Student Every Day"—we remain focused on our three district priorities: Facilities, Academic Rigor, and Parent and Community Involvement.
As we prepare for the 2026-2027 school year, we celebrate the accomplishments of our students, staff, families, and community while continuing to build on the strong foundation established through strategic planning.

Whiteoak CCP Updates for 2026-2027

Whiteoak Jr./Sr. High School remains committed to providing rigorous academic opportunities while ensuring students stay supported, accountable, and successful. Beginning in the 2026-2027 school year, updates to our College Credit Plus (CCP) participation and attendance expectations will help students better balance college coursework with their responsibilities as Whiteoak students.

Key Highlights:
- CCP students taking classes at Whiteoak are expected to remain on campus throughout the school day unless attending an approved off-campus CCP course.

- Students enrolled in online CCP courses will remain on campus, be assigned to the Wildcat Learning Center, and receive structured support, resources, and progress monitoring.

- Full-time online CCP students who are not physically attending a college campus will report to the Wildcat Learning Center from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

- Students attending in-person CCP courses off campus may leave for those classes but are expected to return promptly if they have additional classes scheduled at Whiteoak.

- All CCP students are expected to:
• Attend classes and support periods on time
• Use support time productively
• Maintain satisfactory academic progress
• Communicate regularly with teachers and counselors

New CLEP Opportunity: Students may earn high school credit through approved CLEP exams when graduation requirements are met and prior approval is obtained. CLEP credit will count toward graduation requirements but generally will not impact GPA.

These updates are designed to strengthen academic accountability, provide additional support and supervision, prepare students for college rigor, and promote success both in high school and beyond.

For questions regarding CCP scheduling, expectations, or CLEP opportunities, please contact the Whiteoak Jr./Sr. High School office or counseling department.
