Afternoon Update: Despite our plowing attempts, the wind is hindering our progress. The roads are drifting behind the plow. We are suspending operations for the day and will try again in the morning.ntk

1/25/2026 Update:
Due to drifting caused by winds, we will not be conducting road clearing operations this morning and likely this afternoon. It is not effective to plow in these conditions, as it would be counterproductive. We will resume operations once the wind subsides. Please remain indoors and prioritize your safety.

Here is an approximate timing of the wintry weather on Wednesday. Snow will spread into central Illinois by Wednesday morning and increase in coverage during the afternoon. Locations near and south of a Springfield to Champaign line may transition to a wintry mix, while locations south of I-70 may see mostly rain.
