Our 9th District Conference was held at the Paullina Legion Hall on Saturday, April 11. Our member and 9th District President Marilyn Berke presided over the meeting. New officers for the 2026-27 year were elected.

On Saturday 8 members of Wink-Sparks showed up in the Moville Community Center's kitchen for a deep clean. Two hours later everything was sparkling clean. Thanks to all of you for your hard work this morning.

9th District Presdient Marilyn Berke, Pam Clark, and Donna Flewelling, all from our Unit 303, attended the American Legion Auxiliary Winter Conference held in Des Moines from Feb. 13-15. We'll share information we gained there at our next meeting on March 2 at 7 at the Senior Center.

On Saturday, Dec. 20 Wink-Sparks Legion and Auxiliary conducted our Wreaths Across America memorial, honoring all branches of the service.

After looking at the weather forecast for Dec. 13, the date our Wreaths Across America ceremony is scheduled, Commander Fouts and I have decided to postpone the ceremony until the next Saturday, Dec. 20 at noon at Arlington Twp. Cemetery. Please pass the word on to anyone you think might be planning to attend.

For our Veteran's Day dinner this year, we served pork loins donated by Pork for Patriots. We also presented 5 Quilts of Valor.

Veteran's Day is fast-approaching and will be celebrated by Wink Sparks Auxiliary and Legion on November 11 @ 5:30 at the Community Center. There will be a free will offering. This year we are changing the menu from turkey to pork loins. The public is invited to come and help us honor our local veterans. Quilts of Valor will be presented after dinner.
