A Message to Our Community

At Concern for Neighbors, we are committed to providing a safe space for everyone we serve, our clients, our donors, and our volunteers. That is why we are writing to address the inappropriate content that was posted on our Facebook and Instagram pages yesterday.

A now former volunteer gained unauthorized access to our social media accounts and posted content that does not reflect our values nor was it reflective of our mission. We understand that approximately 93 people saw this post, and we are deeply sorry for any distress, discomfort, or concern it may have caused.

Our organization relies heavily on the trust and dedication of our volunteers, and it is difficult to face the reality that someone on our team would cross such a serious boundary. That said, our focus right now is on you, the clients, donors, and volunteers who make up our community, and the stress this incident may have caused.

Please know that this individual is no longer associated with our organization in any capacity, and we have taken immediate steps to secure our accounts and prevent this from happening again.

We remain committed, now and always, to being a safe, respectful, and trustworthy environment for everyone connected to Concern for Neighbors. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

Concern for Neighbors Food Bank is reaching out to our valued community for essential support. We are currently seeking donations of desktop computers, tablets, a projector, large heaters and fans to help keep volunteers comfortable as they work, and auction items or services for our upcoming Gala in November.
