The Mountainside Library roof replacement project is underway. For the safety of our patrons and staff, the library will be closed from Friday, September 4 at 3:00 pm – Monday, September 14 at 12:00 pm (noon).

During the closure, the library lockers and the book drop will be inaccessible. Please hold onto all library materials until we reopen on September 14. All fines/fees will be adjusted to reflect the closure.

You may visit, check out materials, place and pick up holds at any of the 50 Main Alliance libraries. The closest Main libraries include Berkeley Heights, Long Hill township, New Providence, and Summit.

You may also visit and check out materials from other nearby libraries including Cranford, Fanwood, Garwood, Scotch Plains, Springfield, and Westfield, but you may not place nor pick up holds at these libraries.

Closure dates are subject to change due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances. Please check www.mountainsidelibrary.org, social media, and our electronic newsletter for updates and to confirm that the library is open. This is the first phase of a construction process that will continue through November.

Visit www.mountainsidelibrary.org for 24/7 access to downloadable books, videos, music, programs, and more. If you live in Mountainside and do not have a library card, you can get one online for immediate use.
