Every coupon matters.

Every passion matters.
Every skillset matters.
Every gifting matters.

"A local resident reached out to us, eager to support The CALL by combining her passion for couponing with her heart for serving the community. Since then, we’ve been able to share ongoing needs and projects with her, and she thoughtfully looks for ways to meet those needs through her couponing efforts.

Her generosity has made a meaningful impact—providing items for our blessing baskets for new families, DHS appreciation bags, Christmas gifts for moms, and a wide variety of personal hygiene and essential items.

We are continually inspired by her joy in giving and her creative use of her couponing skills to support The CALL’s mission."

Every "new stuff" matters.

Every small joy matters.
Every gift of dignity matters.
Every moment of being seen matters.

"One evening, I helped gather supplies for a sibling set of three who had just come into care with nothing. They arrived as I packed duffel bags with all the basics.

The oldest girl walked through the door, stopped, and squealed. The caseworker and I were startled at first, thinking something might be wrong. But the girl just turned to her younger sister with a huge smile. 'Look! They have clothes with tags!' The two of them lit up, rushing to the racks, laughing and pulling out dresses and shoes, amazed that something new could be theirs.

Their little brother found a football and sat off to the side, rolling his eyes with a dramatic, 'Girls!' I couldn’t help but laugh.

After a while, the girls began to settle down a bit, and we were able to help them sort through their extensive pile of clothes to find the ones that would fit. The little brother excitedly gathered his own things. Soon, they were heading to their foster home.

As they bounced into the car, I wondered how three kids who had endured so much could be so full of joy. The oldest girl turned to me in the parking lot, shouting, 'Thank you for the new stuff!'

In that simple but powerful moment, the caseworker and I shared a laugh and a silent understanding that this is likely the first time these kids have ever owned anything new 'with tags.'

I returned home with a renewed sense of gratitude for our donors who buy new clothes for The CALL Mall, gifting these kids dignity and the knowledge that they are worthy of 'clothes with tags.'

Every lemonade stand matters.

Every act of service matters.
Every blessing to be shared matters.
Every chance to engage the foster care crisis matters.

"Loving and serving God means helping and serving those in need. I can't think of a better group to serve than the foster parents and kids in foster care. Involving our own kids has shown them that they are blessed to be able to give and to have fun doing it."

Every bedtime story matters

Every dinner together matters.
Every normal day matters.
Every safe family matters.

"The first weekend we had our teen placement, she told me, 'I didn’t know families like yours existed until I came into foster care.' And when she said 'families like yours,' she didn’t mean perfect.

She meant we sat down and ate dinner together.

We prayed before meals.
We read Bible stories at bedtime.
We worked through toddler meltdowns.
We went to church.
We went to Grandma’s house for lunch.

She just got to be part of a family.

She’s been with us over a year now, and it’s not unusual to see her snuggled on the couch at night, with one of our daughters on each side of her, reading them their bedtime Bible story.

God has used small, everyday moments that we often take for granted to show her not only the warmth of a family, but the love of Christ."

Every open home matters.

Every prayer matters.
Every step in obedience matters.
Every call into foster care matters.

"We have always had a heart for adoption and foster care, and have known that God was calling us in that direction for many reasons. In 2018, we adopted a sibling group of four. We went from zero to four in about a week. To say that first year was a blur would be an understatement, but we would not trade it for the world. We deeply love our children, and their story is truly a miracle.

More recently, we had been praying privately for about a year about opening our home to foster care. One day, our children came to us and shared that they wanted us to open our home as a foster and/or adoptive family so that other children could experience a 'good' home like they had. They wanted children who began their journey the way they did to have a similar experience. That moment melted our hearts, and we felt it was truly the call from God to open our home to foster care. This was the moment that helped us say 'yes' to fostering."

Every love matters.

Every provision matters.
Every minute a child is in care matters.
Every chance to love a child as your own matters.

"Often, when people learn we are a foster family, their first response is, 'I could never do that. I’d get too attached.' What they don’t realize is that becoming attached is the whole point. That’s how you know you’re doing it right—loving each child as your own, for however long they’re with you. These children never asked to be separated from their families. Our role is to make sure that, while they are with us, they feel safe, cared for, and loved."

Every teen matters.

Every encouragement matters.
Every decision to be present matters.
Every opportunity for stability matters.

"This is your reminder and encouragement to say YES to fostering or adopting teens!

I had the incredible privilege of baptizing my daughter. I met her at a bowling alley when she was 14, and now she’s a thriving 17-year-old. We've had our share of ups and downs, and the journey hasn't been without hard seasons. She needs long-term, consistent people in her corner. People who show up, hold her accountable, and believe in her as she chooses to break generational cycles.

Don’t let the perceived 'scariness' of teenagers stop you from saying yes. The truth is, they’re often just like the littles, only in bigger bodies. They still need love, stability, and someone who won’t give up on them."
