There is a break in the under-ground lines this will be an extended outage. Approximately around 7 PM power should be restored.

We always wonder where those balloons go when released to the heavens. Do they go to the next state, county or just fall at the neighbors? Well today some fell inside the Newland substation. And they fell exactly where they needed to shorting out the bus and taking out approximately 1800 customers. We apologize for the inconvenience, but this one was truly out of our hands! Lord only knows where they came from!

UPDATE: POWER IS EXPECTED TO BE RESTORED WITHIN THE NEXT HOUR.

A tree has fell on the lines & taken the power for the whole area. We have a crew dispatched & will resolve the issue as quickly as we can. It possibly be a couple hours fix. Please check back for updates or use the attached phone number to call or text in an outage.
