Spero Family Services is a multi-faceted human services organization that serves local children, youth and families in need, currently in 5 counties, and we are growing! Vernon for kids ages 12-21, a Counseling & Wellness Center, Bright Start Childcare in Mt. Vernon, Parents as teachers, Mental Health Juvenile Justice (MHJJ), a Foster Care program, and more! Although Spero Family Services is a fai

th-based agency, programs are open and available to anyone fitting the service criteria without discrimination and regardless of faith or denominational background.

💙🚗 September is Car Seat Safety Month!🚗💙

A new month is a great time for a quick safety check — especially when it comes to the little ones riding with us. From choosing the right seat to making sure it’s installed correctly, every detail matters. 🧸

🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️ SUPERHEROES AT SPERO! 🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️

This week, our Spero team came together for our Fleet Retreat—and we definitely brought our superhero spirit! 💥

From icebreakers and get-to-know-you Bingo to agency updates and a program panel, our staff had the chance to connect, learn, and better understand the incredible work happening across Spero.

We wrapped up the day by celebrating some of our very own Spero Superheroes who were recognized for their outstanding work and dedication. 🏆❤️

It was a day filled with connection, learning, laughter, and appreciation for the people who make Spero’s mission possible.

Every superhero has a team—and we’re proud of ours! ⚓️

Last week, our YouthBuild of South Central Illinois participants had the opportunity to tour Rend Lake College and explore what’s possible beyond the program!

From college tours and career exploration to hands-on training and real-world experiences, YouthBuild helps young adults turn possibilities into plans. 🚀
