Transfer Station stickers are available at the transfer station — Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Otherwise, they are still available at the town office during regular business hours.

Stickers become required this Saturday 9/05/26. We’ll be reasonable about it the first weekend or two while everyone gets one — but plan on having it on your windshield going forward.

The Town Office will be closed on Labor Day, 9/7. The Select Board meeting has been rescheduled to 9/10 at the Community Center at 6:00pm.

Transfer Station Passes Available Today at the Transfer Station — 3 to 6 p.m.

One week left. Passes are required starting September 1, and today you can pick one up right at the Transfer Station during Wednesday hours — 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. No trip to the Town Office needed.

Bring proof of residency. A driver's license, vehicle registration, or tax bill with a Mount Vernon address does it.
One pass per vehicle. If more than one vehicle uses the Transfer Station, bring the information for each.
Don't wait. The requirement starts next week, and the first Saturday of the month is always the busiest morning of the year. Get it while you're already there.

If today doesn't work, passes are still available at the Town Office during regular hours.

The Town Clerk will not be available for registrations/tax payments all day Wed. & Thurs 9 - 12 to attend training. The office will remain open for other town business.
