⚠️ SCAM ALERT ⚠️
We want to remind our community that scammers are actively posing as law enforcement officers or agencies in an attempt to steal money and personal information.

These callers, texters, or emails may claim to be from the Sheriff’s Office, Police Department, or another law enforcement agency. They may tell you that you have missed jury duty, have a warrant, owe fines, or must make immediate payment to avoid arrest. They also may claim that a family member has been arrested and needs bond money.

Please remember: Law enforcement will NEVER contact you by phone, text message, or email demanding payment or requesting personal identifying information such as your Social Security number, bank account information, credit card numbers, or payment through gift cards, cryptocurrency, or payment apps.

If you receive a suspicious call, text, or email:
• Do not provide any personal or financial information
• Do not send money or make payments
• Hang up immediately
• Verify by contacting your local law enforcement agency directly using an official phone number
If you believe you have been targeted by one of these scams, please report it to your local law enforcement agency.

Please help protect others by sharing this message. Thank you!
