It’s hard to believe that it has been four years since the Infirmary went up in flames, marking the beginning of the end of a building that held more than a centuries worth of memories.

When I found out what was happening, I was in denial, until I made it to the there. The concept that the the place that I spent many days at when I wanted to get away from town; just to think, take pictures, and just sit on the front lawn and imagine about that many lives those who stayed there. And in that instant - it was all gone. The shock that came to my eyes, just watching the flames roar, and the fire departments kept from spreading was astounding.

Even though the building no longer stands - it will always be there for us when we think about it.

After 141 years after construction started, the Infirmary was torn down. It has taken quite the toll in the past few years, and we have known that this would happen. This place will forever be in our hearts.

It is with a heavy heart to see the damage. After my family got a hold of me, I drove out to see the damage.

They have shut down Johnstown road and they are keeping the fire controlled but she is gone.

A couple of days ago, my friend Blair sent me this article. I hope that it excites all of you guys.

If Toby Spade gets his wish, the building which housed the former Knox County Infirmary in Bangs will one day be restored to its former glory.

Wow. Thank you to everyone who has liked this page in the last week. Its wonderful to see that a lot of people still know that the Infirmary is still in existence.
