🚒 Big News for Monroe Township Fire Department! 🚒

We’re thrilled to share that Monroe Township Fire Department is receiving a $49,876.87 grant through the Ohio Department of Commerce’s Small County Volunteer Fire Department (SCVFD) Grant — part of the first-ever funding through this new program! 💪🔥 

Thanks to this funding, we’re upgrading crucial equipment, including:
• New industry-standard battery-powered extrication tools
• Stabilization struts to help secure vehicles at emergency scenes
These tools will make our team safer and even more effective when responding to crashes and other emergency calls.

We’re incredibly grateful for the ongoing support of the State Fire Marshal’s office and all the partners who helped make this possible. This investment strengthens our ability to serve and protect the community, now and in the future! 🙌

🚫🔥 BURN BAN IN EFFECT – STATE OF OHIO 🔥🚫

Effective TODAY, the seasonal burn ban issued by the State of Ohio Fire Marshal is in effect.

📅 Applies During:
March, April, May, October, and November

⏰ Hours:
No open burning permitted 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

This is a statewide burn ban.

If you have questions regarding what is or is not permitted, please contact your local fire department before burning.

Please help keep our communities safe.

🚒 The Monroe Township Fire Department invites you to stop by for our Chicken BBQ Drive-Thru on Saturday, October 26th from 12 PM – 2 PM at 13980 Wooster Rd., Mount Vernon.

🍗 Each meal includes:
• ½ Chicken
• Green Beans
• Potato Salad
• Roll

💵 Suggested Donation: $20 per meal
All proceeds benefit the Monroe Township Firefighters Association.

Come enjoy some great food while supporting your local firefighters! We can’t wait to see you there! 🚒❤️

Thank you to everyone who came out to our open house! It was wonderful to see so many of you enjoying the day with us. We had a great time with food, fire trucks, bounce houses, fishing, and more! A huge thank you to Round Hill Dairy and On The Rise Bar-B-Que & Catering for providing delicious food and tasty treats for our guests. Thank you Presidential Inflatables & More, LLC for the inflatables! Thank you to Evergreen Waste for donating waste removal services! Thank you Warwick Farm for donating the use of their chairs and Snow-Cone machine! Community events like this are so important to us! We loved seeing you all learn more about our fire department, including the gear we use and the trucks that keep our community safe. We hope you had as much fun as we did getting to see gear demonstrations and even getting a chance to use a fire hose! We can't wait to do it again next year!
