The Cumberland Valley District Health Department is accepting applications for a Full Time Public Health Nurse II – Home Health for Jackson County Home Health.

Starting Salary: $30/hr negotiable with additional experience. Grade 19

The Cumberland Valley District Health Department will be closed on Monday, May 25th in observance of the Memorial Day Holiday. This includes all clinics in Clay, Jackson, and Rockcastle Counties and Home Home services in Harlan and Bell Counties. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, May 26th at 8 a.m.

HANDS served in the 2026 child abuse awareness event April 11 serving almost 160 people with education with Smokey the Bear over Fire safety and home evacuation plans!

On Thursday 4-2-26 the Rockcastle County Health Department participated in the town's Easter egg hunt and even had a visit from the Easter bunny himself! 🐰✨️ The community was ecstatic to stop in for some candy and pictures! ️🍬📸
We also had Dreama Wright (Hwy. Safety Coordinator) for Cumberland Valley Area Development District here doing car seat checks to ensure our sweet babies were traveling safely!👏🏼

Clay County HANDS participants got together to celebrate Easter with an egg hunt and lots of snacks and goodies! We serve the absolute cutest kids and the best parents on this program and we are all grateful for the opportunity to be welcomed into their homes to share in these babies’ early years of development.

The Cumberland Valley District Health Department will close early on Thursday, April 2nd at 4:45 p.m. and will be closed all day on Friday, April 3rd in observance of the Good Friday holiday. Regular hours will resume on Monday, April 6th at 8 a.m. This includes health clinics in Clay, Jackson and Rockcastle Counties, all administrative offices and Home Health services in Bell and Harlan Counties.

Starting Salary: $13.50/hr negotiable with additional experience. Grade 10
