Congratulations to Fredericktown Area Historical Society on opening their museum in its new location. It looks great and is definitely worth a visit.

The Knox County Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday to celebrate the historical society's new location.

The Museum has a much-improved look thanks to the Town and Country Garden Club and the students from the Career Center.

In 1946 Julien Bryan premiered the films he made in Mount Vernon to a crowd of "about 600" people at the Memorial Theater.

80 years later, the same films were shown in the same theater...and the number of attendees was roughly the same. And at least five audience members in 2026 had actually appeared in the films made eighty years earlier.
