SVC Criminal Justice Club

SVC Criminal Justice Club Join us every Tuesday, 12:30 in Room T-031. The Criminal Justice club is one of the most exciting clubs at Skagit Valley College and it is open to all students.

We seek to provide interesting events, critical information, and valuable skills to students interested in all fields of Criminal Justice—including Law Enforcement, Forensics, Corrections, Law and Criminology. We are committed to helping students reach their academic and professional goals through network and skill building, while also assisting our community with creative charity work and community service.

Today marks the ten year anniversary of the death of Deputy Anne Jackson of the Skagit County Sheriffs Department. Deputy Jackson, a six year veteran with the sheriffs department, served her community with distinction and honor and made the ultimate sacrifice. She is sorely missed. We at the SVC Criminal Justice Club thank Deputy Jackson for her service.

Yesterday we were honored to have Sgt. Jennifer Maurstad from the Washington Dept of Fish and Wildlife, LT Lisa Brouelette, Officer Deana Lansing, Officer Tiffany Trombley, and Officer Jennifer Matison from Kirkland PD, Trooper Heather Axtman from Washington State Patrol, Sgt. Polly Storie from Skagit County Sheriff's Office, and Officer Liz Paul from MVPD as our guest speakers for this year's Women in Policing Day!
