We are accepting applications for a Full Time 911 Dispatcher position!

Responsibilities:
- Answer multi-line phone systems promptly and professionally, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
- Assess emergency calls quickly through phone triage techniques, gathering essential information to determine the appropriate response.
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, medical personnel, or other emergency services efficiently using GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for precise location tracking.
- Enter data accurately into dispatch systems, including detailed incident reports, logs, and transcription of call details.
- Manage conflict or high-stress situations with negotiation skills and conflict management techniques to de-escalate callers when necessary.
- Maintain security protocols during all operations to ensure safety for staff and the public while handling sensitive information responsibly.
Skills:
-Strong analysis skills to evaluate situations quickly and determine appropriate actions.
-Proficiency in dispatching procedures combined with excellent typing speed for efficient data entry.
-Familiarity with GIS technology and multi-line phone systems to coordinate responses effectively.
-Exceptional communication skills with the ability to listen actively and convey clear instructions under pressure.
-Experience with transcription, negotiation, conflict management, and phone triage enhances overall performance in this vital role.
Experience in public safety is preferred but not required.
Additional Information
-Applicants need to have ability to work any shifts including nights and weekends.
-Applicants must have a High School Diploma/GED.
-Applicants must be able to pass a background check.
