The community is invited to a special screening of the highly acclaimed documentary, The Little Things That Run the World, on Wednesday, July 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lowry Center Theatre, located at 221 Duff St., Gambier, Ohio.
This documentary explores the vital role flying insects play in holding our ecosystems together, the mysteries behind their recent population declines, and the creative, heroic human efforts being made to protect them. Celebrated on the festival circuit, the film has won numerous accolades, including Best Documentary at the East Lansing Film Festival, Best Feature Film at the Poulsbo Film Festival, Best Environmental Film at the Orion International Film Festival, Best Cinematography at the Twelve Lions Film Festival, the Spirit Award for Sustainable Futures at the Ceres Food Film Festival, and the Jen Snyder-Bryceland Award at the Lighthouse International Film Festival.
The evening will feature opening remarks from Mayor Starr and conclude with an engaging post-screening talkback session, offering a vital conversation for anyone who cares about the natural world.
