🚧 Upcoming Traffic Changes! 🚧 The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is giving the SR 536 Skagit River Bridge its first new coat of paint since 1990! During construction, the bridge will be closed to all eastbound car traffic except emergency response vehicles. Pedestrian and bike access will remain open. WE'VE GOT SIDEWALKS!! ....well, almost. Have you ever walked to Hillcrest Park and noticed, there's no sidewalk!?! That's about to change. Soon we'll have an easy, accessible, paved path from the main entrance of the park! There will also be paved pathways at two separate entrances to the new playground; one by the new swings and one at the playground parking area. And don't worry, no trees were harmed in the making of these sidewalks, we worked with the natural landscape and the existing natural paths.
