Earlier this week, we kicked off Recovery Month with a proclamation recognizing September as Recovery Month in Skagit County. Our team joined providers, community members, and North Star partners to celebrate recovery and the people who make it possible.

Recovery happens in community. It takes connection, compassion, collaboration, and access to the right treatment, support, and resources. When we work together across organizations and alongside people with lived experience, we can create stronger pathways to recovery, help people feel supported wherever they are on their journey, and create opportunities to thrive.

Did you know your child may qualify for free dental care through the Access to Baby & Child Dentistry (ABCD) Program?

If your child is 6 years old or younger and covered by Washington Apple Health (Medicaid), they may qualify for ABCD. Children up to age 13 who receive services through the Developmental Disability Administration also qualify. The program helps families:

• Find a local dentist.
• Schedule dental visits.
• Access translation support.
• Learn how to keep little teeth healthy.

ABCD connects young children with specially trained dentists to help prevent and treat tooth decay and build healthy habits for life.
