***Acquired Structure Training Burn***
Montgomery County Fire EMS in conjunction with The Kentucky Fire Commission are going to be conducting a training burn at 3831 Owingsville Rd on Saturday, August 1st from approximately 1000-1600. There will be lots of smoke in the area! This is being done to help the Montgomery County Fiscal Court and the Industrial Authority with the site preparation for the new industrial park. This is being done following all rules and regulations in regard to burning a structure. Special thanks to Montgomery County Regional Jail for allowing their inmates to help us prepare the structure!

7 new firefighters began their career here yesterday, it’s going to be a long, hot 8 weeks in recruit class, but they are excited! This group is a mix of firefighters that began their career elsewhere and have landed with us, a paramedic student, and a few that have no EMS or Fire experience. We are grateful to have them and ready to show them the MOCO way we operate!

This is our 2nd year participating in the First Responder Academy that MCTC hosts. It was a large group of middle and high school kids this year! They learned about CPR, First Aid, how to wear our gear, put on an SCBA, forcing doors, climbing our ladder truck (if they wanted to) and much more! Thanks for letting us be part of this fun week!

ENG1 went to DQ tonight and ran into some kids that wanted to see the firetruck. Best part of the job!

Wildcat Recycling in Camargo came through for us again! The week before last, all three shifts each got a day of extrication training, each shift getting their own cars to train with. This was a great opportunity for us and we are grateful for our community partners!
