Join us at the Montgomery County Extension Office as we welcome Dr. Jonathan Larson, Assistant Professor of Extension Entomology at the University of Kentucky.

On Tuesday, June 30th at 6:00 p.m.

Dr. Larson will be sharing about summer time pest that could be impacting your garden. This class focuses on helping homeowners identify common garden pests, understand the damage they cause, and learn practical, research-based management strategies.

This community event brings together local youth, families, animal lovers, and community partners for a morning filled with fun, learning, and furry friends—all while helping shelter animals find their forever homes. ❤️🐶🐱

Montgomery County - KY- Farmers' Market

Farmers' Market Scale drop off starts today! We will be collecting scales that need certified for the 2026 farmers' market season. Friday May 29th at 4:30 is the last day for drop off.
Scales will be certified and returned to owner on June 2nd at the Montgomery County Farmers' Market meeting.

If you would like to have your scale certified please drop it off at the Montgomery County Extension Office between Tuesday May 26th and Friday May 29th from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Scales cannot be dropped off on June 2nd.

🌽🎨 It’s Time to Vote: Agriculture Week Art Contest! 🎨🌽
We are excited to share the top 4 student entries from our Agriculture Week Art Contest!

Local students were challenged to show how agriculture is part of their everyday lives by filling in a county outline with their own creative ideas. From farms and livestock to gardens and local markets, these young artists did an amazing job representing agriculture in our community.

Now we need YOUR help!
Community members are invited to vote for their favorite artwork. The winning piece will represent Montgomery County in a special display at the 2026 Kentucky State Fair!
