🚧 This Just In: Yankeetown Pike is closed at the shooting range is now closed at the bridge due to high water. If traveling to the park from the North, take St. Rt. 56 East out of Mt. Sterling, turn right onto Clarks Run Rd. At the end of the road, turn right onto Yankeetown Pike. Travelers from the South, turn right onto Crownover Mill Rd. Follow to Deer Creek Rd and turn left. At the end, turn left onto Yankeetown Pike.

In case you're wondering, the West Boat Ramp near the Marina, old St. Rt. 207 and the wildlife area along with the fisherman's access road are closed until further notice due to flooding. The current lake elevation is 820.16 ft, meaning 10.16 ft above summer pool. Stay up-to-date with the lake conditions/closures by going to

UPDATE: As of this morning, the West Boat ramp remains closed. Deer Creek Lodge Marina, park road #9 (picnic area and dog swim area), park road #12 lower picnic area, and the beach are closed. The US Army Corps of Engineers is anticipating another 6 foot lake level increase.

Rain or shine, here's the activities for the holiday weekend in the campground hosted by Friends of Deer Creek!

Our Camper Host volunteers will show movies Friday - Sunday evenings at dusk behind washhouse #4 and serve freshly popped popcorn provided by the Friends of Deer Creek, weather permitting. Bring lawn chairs. Movies posted in the camp office.

Food trucks roll in Saturday afternoon and will serve next to washhouse #4 from 3pm - 8pm. Scheduled to attend are Anchorhouse Rolling Bistro, Steaks and Cakes, and Kona Ice.

UPDATE: Due to weather conditions, we are adjusting the program for today. Come learn about creek critters at the Nature Center starting at 10:30am!

In case you missed it, join our park naturalist tomorrow for the Creek Crawlers program. Enclosed shoes are required as you trek through the creek that runs through the Hawkview Meadow Trail. Meet the naturalist at the Nature Center, the program begins at 10:30am. You never know what kind of creek critters you'll encounter. Maybe a salamander similar to the one pictured below!
