BCSSC was formed in 2003 to steward money returned to Siskiyou County from
Breast Cancer Prevention Partner’s “Climb Against The Odds" event that occurs every June in Mt. In addition to helping with traditional support services and complementary care, we hope to address issues specific to our rural setting, including access and transportation, physical/emotional isolation, and communication gaps b

We’re SO proud to introduce Bliss Bryan, our local community climber representing Breast Cancer Services of Siskiyou County for Climb Against the Odds 💗🏔️

Bliss isn’t just climbing a mountain — she’s climbing for the individuals and families in our own backyard who are navigating breast cancer. Every step she takes is in honor of local patients who need support, resources, and hope.

Through Climb Against the Odds, Bliss is helping ensure that funds raised stay right here in Siskiyou County, providing direct services, financial assistance, and compassionate guidance to those facing a diagnosis.

When Bliss climbs, our whole community climbs with her.

In 2025, Shayna Cassidy took on Climb Against the Odds as our local climber — and she didn’t just reach the summit, she lifted an entire community with her. 💗⛰️

Shayna raised over $36,000 for Breast Cancer Services of Siskiyou County, with every dollar staying right here at home to support local individuals and families navigating breast cancer.

Because of her strength, dedication, and the generosity of this community, patients in our own backyard will have access to critical support, resources, and care when they need it most.

This wasn’t just a climb up a mountain — it was a climb for hope, for healing, and for every neighbor facing breast cancer.

Congratulations to our local climber Shayna Cassidy on a successful event! Shayna will climb with Breast Cancer Prevention Partners to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer prevention. BCPP will donate all funds raised by Shayna to BCSSC to help local women who are facing a breast cancer diagnosis. Thank you to Shayna and our amazing community! Mountain Medics Inc.
