The City of Mount Rainier will commemorate Juneteenth through a flag-raising ceremony on Thursday, June 18, at City Hall. Join us as we honor the significance of Juneteenth, reflect on the enduring pursuit of freedom, equality, and justice, and recognize the resilience and contributions of African Americans throughout our nation's history.

Juneteenth, observed annually on June 19, marks the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and was recognized as a federal holiday in 2021 by President Joe Biden. All are welcome to attend this meaningful community observance
