Welcome to RTMS!

We are proud to introduce a new feature on our social media channels: Welcome Wednesday! Over the next few weeks, we’ll be showcasing the new teachers and staff joining our district family.

To kick things off, help us welcome Ms. Emily Zwijack, the new Orchestra Director at River Trails Middle School!

Ms. Zwijack brings 8 years of teaching experience and holds degrees in both Music Education and Violin Performance. Known by her colleagues as organized, dedicated, and funny, she is most excited to collaborate with staff and inspire a love of learning and music in her students.

Fun fact: She is also a figure skating coach and can play her violin while spinning and jumping on the ice! ⛸️🎶

It’s hard to believe the first week of school is already here!

So incredibly proud of our 8th-grade crew today! They rolled up their sleeves and put in some serious work at today's Feed My Starving Children field trip.

Together, they packed 209 boxes, which translates to 45,144 meals! Because of their hard work, 123 kids will be fed for an entire year.

Way to show up and make a difference, 8th grade!
