📢 PUBLIC SAFETY UPDATE:

The Maury County Sheriff’s Department, in coordination with Maury County Public Schools, is actively investigating concerning TikTok accounts and posts referencing local schools—including AI-generated images featuring "The Cat in the Hat" and posts displaying student names.

Please be assured that we are taking all threats across our school district seriously and individuals found involved will face criminal charges.

The safety and security of all students, faculty, and staff remain our highest priority. We are working diligently to ensure all necessary security measures are in place.

We urge parents to monitor their children's social media activity. If you see a concerning post, please screenshot and report it directly to law enforcement or school administration rather than sharing it online.
If you have any information, please contact the Maury County Sheriff’s Department immediately.

Good News!!! Elvis Presley is alive and in town to celebrate homecoming with the Mount Pleasant High School Tigers. Elvis predicted that the Forrest High School Rockets will be "All Shook Up" after Friday night's game against the Tigers.

From all of us here at the Mount Pleasant Fire and Police Departments, we wish the MPHS Tigers Good Luck Friday night, and we hope you have a great season!

To all who have served - and to those who continue to serve - thank you from the bottom of our heart. We are grateful for you and the sacrifices you and your families make.

We also want to recognize the veterans who serve our community in the Mount Pleasant Police and the Mount Pleasant Fire departments: Sergeant Cory England, Sergeant Payton Holland, Firefighter Jake Thuesen, and Fire Engineer Daniel Nance.

God bless all of our veterans, law enforcement officers, firefighters, and all who serve our communities and our country.

Please educate seniors about common phone scams and scammer tactics to increase awareness. Encourage independent verification of caller identity before sharing personal information.

The following are some tips that may help you or someone you love from becoming a victim of these types of phone scams:

1. Learn to Recognize Common Phone Scams
2. Never Share Personal Information Over the phone such as: home address; date of birth; full name; banking details; or credit card numbers; social security number; and your mother’s maiden name
3. Register on the “do not call” Registry
4. Set Up a Bank Account with a Spending Limit
5. Monitor Bank Accounts and Credit Cards
6. Never Buy Anything Over the Phone
7. Donate Wisely
8. Never Pay to Claim a Prize or Lottery Payout
9. Resist Pressure to “Act Now”
10. Don’t Answer Calls from Unrecognized Numbers
