Our Mount Pleasant Borough Police Department T-Shirt Fundraiser is still going strong, and we’d love to get a few more of these shirts out into the community!

Mount Pleasant Borough Police wants to give a huge thanks to Jordan Hahn or better known as Tree Man LLC on Facebook for his kindness and bravery this morning with helping a cat stuck in a tree. Mount Pleasant Borough Police was notified by a concerned citizen who stated he had heard a cat meowing for two days and just this morning noticed the cat was stuck about 25-30 feet in a tree. Mount Pleasant Borough Police arrived on scene and was almost immediately met by Jordan who took no time getting his gear on and climbing the tree to rescue the cat and returning it to the family. Thank you Captain Tree Man!

Below is a video of the final part of the rescue which was approved by Jordan for us to post.

Over the past several weeks, we’ve been creating a shirt that represents not only our department, but also the pride, history, and community that make Mount Pleasant such a special place. We wanted to create something people would be proud to wear while supporting a great cause.

Every shirt purchased helps support the Mount Pleasant Borough Police Department Training & Equipment Fund, allowing us to invest in additional training opportunities and equipment that directly benefit the officers serving our community.

National Night Out 2026 what a success and fun time! Thank you so much to everyone who came out and joined in this amazing event! Our department cannot thank everyone who contributed to this event enough! And a big congratulations to the winners of our bike and helmet raffle! Can’t wait to see everyone next year!

We’re excited to officially launch the Mount Pleasant Borough Police Department T-Shirt Fundraiser!

Over the past several weeks, we’ve been creating a shirt that represents not only our department, but also the pride, history, and community that make Mount Pleasant such a special place.

The fundraiser officially launches at National Night Out!

👕 We’ll have a limited quantity of approximately 30 shirts available for immediate purchase at our tent. If you’d like one that night, be sure to stop by early—or message us to pre order!

Shirts are $22 each.

Can’t make it to National Night Out?

🚲🍬 Think you can guess the number? 🍬🚲

The Mount Pleasant Borough Police Department is excited to bring back one of our favorite National Night Out traditions for the second year in a row!

Stop by the MPBPD tent during National Night Out on Tuesday, July 28 and take your best guess at how many pieces of candy are inside our giant candy jar.

Simply fill out an entry with your:

✅ Name
✅ Phone Number
✅ Email Address
✅ Candy Guess

At the end of the evening, the person with the closest guess will receive the first call and first choice of our two bicycle and helmet prizes.

🥇 Closest guess — First choice of the bikes and helmets
🥈 Second closest guess — Remaining bike and helmet package
🥉 Third closest guess — Takes home the giant candy jar itself

While you’re visiting our tent, be sure to stop by and meet your Mount Pleasant officers and pick up some giveaways including coloring books, stickers, pens, and other police swag.

Regarding the incident of Braddock Road Avenue. The incident was resolved and the dog was returned to the owners safely. The dog at no point was held captive from its owners and never was in any harm. Everyone involved truly had the best intentions for the dog. Our department truly believes this was a case of misunderstanding.

The incident has now led to people being harassed and now threatened. Our department does ask that all people let the matter go and no longer pursue any type of threats or harassment as they are not warranted.

The whole incident should not be used to attack anyone but should be used as a learning experience for everyone in the future on how to handle these situations. We are grateful this incident resolved in a happy ending as many know it could have been much worse.

In the future, for anyone who does locate a lost dog please contact Mount Pleasant Borough Police by calling 911 or 724-547-7210. If you are outside the Borough please contact whatever police department covers your area or a local shelter.
