Property taxes are due no later than January 31, 2026, however, since the due date is on a Saturday, you will have until Monday, February 2, 2026. Payments received or postmarked after February 2, 2026, will not be considered timely. It is important to note that USPS has stated postmarks could possibly not be marked the day you drop off; therefore, please mail your payment in adequate time to allow for processing by USPS. The postmark date will be used to verify a payment was mailed timely. Failure to pay by the due date will result in penalty and interest accruing on the bill. Taxpayers owning property in Titus County can pay property taxes by mail (P.O. Box 528 Mount Pleasant TX, 75456-0528), online (www.titus-cad.org) or in person at the office located at 2404 West Ferguson Road, Mount Pleasant Texas.
Taxpayers paying by mail must ensure that the payment is postmarked on or before February 2, 2026, to avoid penalty and interest.
On February 3, 2026, seven percent penalty and interest will begin to accrue on all delinquent property tax bills as required by law. Penalty and interest will continue to increase each month until the bill is paid.
Titus County Appraisal District (TCAD) collects taxes for: City of Mount Pleasant, City of Talco, City of Winfield, Chapel Hill ISD, Harts Bluff ISD, and Mount Pleasant ISD.

Titus County Tax Assessor/Collector’s office collects property taxes for Titus County, Titus Regional Medical Center, and Northeast Texas Community College. All deadlines for payments made to them are the same as the Appraisal District. Taxpayers can mail their tax payments in or bring it to 110 S. Madison Ave, Mount Pleasant TX 75455 or pay online (esearch.co.titus.tx.us or www.co.titus.tx.us).
