Harts Bluff ISD is seeking a talented graphic designer to help us reimagine our House System crests!

Our five houses—Chaliki (Grit- black), Receptio (Receptiveness- green), Dominium (Ownership- purple), Bienvenida (Welcoming- orange), and Liderazgo (Leadership- teal)—are a cornerstone of our school culture. We are looking for a fresh, exciting design direction that captures the heart of Harts Bluff while bringing new energy and creativity to our House System.

If you are interested in participating, please submit a redesign of ONE house crest to Erika Ponce de Leon, Director of Systems and Culture, by July 1, 2026. Submissions can be sent to [email protected].

We are looking for designs that are:

Unique and memorable
Student-friendly and inspiring
Representative of the Harts Bluff ISD community
Bold enough to create a true "WOW" factor
Versatile for use on shirts, banners, social media, signage, and other school materials
Designers are encouraged to interpret the house values in their own creative way. We are not looking for exact replicas of our current crests—we welcome fresh ideas and innovative concepts that bring each house to life while reflecting the culture, pride, and spirit of Harts Bluff ISD.

Submissions will be reviewed by a district committee. The designer whose work best fits the vision and future direction of HBISD will be invited to negotiate a potential partnership with the district to develop the complete set of House System crests. Compensation will be provided for the final design work selected by the district.

We can't wait to see your creativity and discover a new look for our houses!

Dual-credit summer courses will begin online on June 8, and we are excited for our students to continue earning college credit this summer!

Students needing a school-issued device for coursework may pick one up during the following times:

A huge THANK YOU to the team at Diamond C Trailers for their hard work and generosity in helping rebuild and improve the bridge at the Harts Bluff ISD Administration Building!

This project was completed as part of DC Serves Day, an initiative through Diamond C that provides team members with volunteer opportunities throughout Titus County and the surrounding community. DC Serves Day was designed as a day for Diamond C employees to volunteer at multiple locations, giving back to organizations and causes that make a difference.

Their efforts reflect Diamond C’s mission to fuel the well-being, growth, and success of their team members, customers, and community—a mission that was clearly demonstrated through their service to HBISD.

We are incredibly grateful for community partners like Diamond C who invest their time, talents, and resources to make our schools and community better. Thank you for choosing HBISD as part of your DC Serves Day and for helping improve our campus for students, staff, and visitors for years to come!

HBISD is excited to announce leadership updates within our district!

Erika Ponce de Leon has been named Director of Systems and Culture for HBISD. In this new role, she will help support district initiatives connected to systems, culture, Bluebonnet Beacon work, MTSS, SEL, GROWL/Houses/HB18, and strategic campus support across HBISD.

HBISD is also excited to announce that Laurie Blackard will serve as the new principal of Harts Bluff Elementary. Mrs. Blackard has been an instrumental part of HBE’s growth and success and will continue leading the campus with excellence, heart, and dedication to students and staff.

Please join us in congratulating both of these incredible leaders on their new roles within HBISD!
