Fitzgerald Freedom Ranch: For Veterans & Their Families

Fitzgerald Freedom Ranch: For Veterans & Their Families We are a nonprofit for Veterans and their families. We are not going to tell you where you want to go.

What makes us different is we offer you the freedom to have your own healing experience rather than something prescribed. All we can do is give you options and take the journey with you.

Time for the Next Chapter:
After much thought and careful consideration, we have come to the decision to close down the Fitzgerald Freedom Ranch as a nonprofit organization at the beginning of this coming summer. Our mission and desire to help veterans remains intact as Amy pursues her PhD in Social Work at the University of Alabama. The goal being universal acceptance of the Fitzgerald Freedom Theory as Amy publishes the research she conducts and applies it in teaching additional “Amy’s” to be able to recalibrate The ICE. Ultimately allowing us to impact thousands of veterans rather than only one at a time. We are deeply grateful for all of the wonderful support that we have received on this journey. There is no way we would have survived this long without the amazing veteran community that we have. In addition, we are extremely honored to have had all of the veterans that trusted us enough to come to the Ranch so Amy could recalibrate them. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we continue on with the next phase of this journey. God Bless!

We had the incredible experience of having our own, Amy Fitzgerald honored today at the University of Alabama for her work impacting veterans and being awarded the Capstone Fellowship Award. The University of Alabama has over 6,200 graduate students this year. Out of the 6,200, the faculty nominated “the best of the best” to have an opportunity to be given the Capstone Fellowship Award. This award pays the graduate students tuition and are given a stipend to attend the school. The selection process is rigorous and is only based on faculty letters and recommendations. Our own, Amy Fitzgerald was one of the 50 students that received this award and was honored tonight for her impact working with veterans. At the University Club where the ceremony was held, the provost said, “You are the best of the best. You were chosen because of the impact you have made. Some of you will be legends that are made.” This picture includes Amy, 2 fellow Social Work PhD students, and Dr. Noh, the head of the Social Work PhD program. Roll Tide!!!!

Today was the first day of the next five years of classes and research pursuing my MSW & PhD in Social Work at the University of Alabama so I can put the research behind recalibrating veterans and impact policy with the goal that all veterans are aware of their options for help, healing and hope. The ultimate goal is to have recalibration be a known and accepted solution for the health and wellness of our veterans, and to train others on how to do this effectively. Roll Tide!!!!!

As we come to the end of 2024 we want to thank everyone who has donated to the Fitzgerald Freedom Ranch! This had made it possible for so many veterans to get the help and support they needed. We haven’t fully reached our goal for 2024 but we are close. If you want to support us in continuing to help veterans obtain the help they need or know someone who does, please consider making a donation or giving our information to someone who may want to. We appreciate all donations we receive and are not able to be open without them. Since we are a nonprofit all donations are tax deductible. You can go to our website and donate there at the donation link. We also have a Venmo. https://fitzgeraldfreedomranch.com/donate
