🚗🎈 Engineering in Action!

Our 5th Grade students have been learning about the Engineering Design Process—and recently put their skills to the test!

Working in teams, students used STEAM Bucks to “shop” for materials, carefully considering which supplies would best support their designs. They then planned, built, tested, identified areas for improvement, and redesigned their balloon-powered cars—just like real engineers!

The challenge wrapped up with an exciting Balloon Car Race, where students got to see their creative designs in action! 💨🔧

What an awesome example of teamwork, creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on STEAM learning!

Congratulations to 20 of our students who earned a PERFECT SCORE on the Civic Knowledge Assessment! 🎉👏

Our students take this assessment during the spring of their sophomore year, and the exam mirrors the U.S. naturalization/citizenship test, assessing knowledge of American government, history, and civics.
