🚑 EXCITING NEWS FOR FREMONT FIRE DEPARTMENT & OUR COMMUNITY! 🚑

The Fremont Fire Department is proud to announce that today we were awarded $299,600 in funding toward the purchase of a NEW AMBULANCE!

This is a tremendous investment in the future of emergency medical services for our department and, most importantly, the communities and residents we serve.

Fremont Fire Department would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Pennsylvania State Representative David Rowe, State Senator Lynda Culver, Perry Township, Jerry Brant, and Fire Chief Jacob Wagner for their hard work, support, and dedication in helping make this project a reality.

Replacing an ambulance is a major undertaking for a volunteer fire and EMS organization. This $299,600 award will allow our department to move forward with purchasing a new, reliable ambulance that will help ensure our crews can continue answering emergencies and providing quality patient care for many years to come.

We are extremely grateful for the continued support of our local and state leaders, our municipalities, our members, and the community we are proud to serve.

This project is officially moving forward! 🚑

We will share additional updates as we begin working through the purchasing and ambulance replacement process.

It’s awesome to see departments taking advantage of a resource that is available to them. We are honored to provide this facility and support our fellow departments as they continue to train, learn, and prepare to serve their communities.

Monday Night Training – Rope Rescue
Tonight, 21 members of the Fremont Fire Department participated in hands-on training focused on rope rescue operations.
Members worked through a scenario involving a hunter who had fallen from a tree stand and was left suspended by their safety harness. Crews discussed how we can safely access, secure, and lower the patient to the ground when traditional rescue methods may not be an option.
For tonight’s evolution, members built and operated a twin-tension rope system utilizing a high point to safely accomplish the rescue. Training included system setup, rigging, equipment familiarization, teamwork, and communication between rescuers.
Scenarios like this are especially important in our rural response area, where our crews may be called to incidents in wooded or difficult-to-access locations. Practicing these skills before an emergency happens allows our members to work together safely and efficiently when someone needs us.
We would like to thank all 21 volunteers who gave up their time this evening to train and continue improving the services we provide to our community.

We truly appreciate every person who stopped by, purchased chicken, shared our posts, and continues to support our department. Fundraisers like this help us continue providing emergency services, training, and equipment for the communities we proudly serve.
We also want to give a special thank you to all of our members, families, and volunteers who helped make today’s event possible. From preparing and cooking the chicken to serving our customers and cleaning up afterward, it takes a great team to make an event like this successful.
We are extremely fortunate to live in a community that continues to stand behind its local fire department. Your support helps us succeed and allows us to continue serving you when you need us most.

🚒 MUTUAL AID RESPONSE – SUSQUEHANNA TOWNSHIP 🚨

The Fremont Fire Department was dispatched mutual aid to Champion Homes in Susquehanna Township, Juniata County, for an automatic fire alarm.

Squad 100 responded shortly after dispatch with the Chief and a crew of 5 personnel. Tanker 100 also responded with 2 personnel.

Units from Liverpool Fire Department arrived on scene and investigated the alarm. Crews determined the activation to be a false alarm, and Company 100 units were placed available and returned to service.
