The Mount Olive Pirate Football Team is inviting the community to join them for an evening of activities on tomorrow. The football team is also selling BBQ plates. Let’s support our local athletics by helping the team accomplish their goal of selling 100 plates. Contact Coach Nelson if you would like to purchase a BBQ plate from the football team.

REMINDER

To the citizens of the Town of Mount Olive

The Town of Mount Olive has been notified by Entergy that a planned power outage will take place on Monday, July 27, 2026, beginning at [8AM] and lasting approximately [4-8 hours], to allow for scheduled maintenance and system improvements.

Affected Area:

Residents and businesses located from 6th Street South should prepare for a temporary interruption of electric service.

Please Note:
This outage is planned and is necessary to improve the reliability of the electrical system.
Residents are encouraged to unplug sensitive electronic equipment before the outage begins.
Keep refrigerator and freezer doors closed during the outage to help preserve food.
If you rely on electrically powered medical equipment , please make arrangements in advance.

Visit Miss Vaeda’s , Miss Mississippi Elementary, Little Free Food Panty located outside of city hall if you are in need of food. Her vision is that no one should go to bed hungry. This Little Food Pantry is her way of giving back to her community.

You can also stop by to make donations to the Little Free Food Panty as well.
