Each day during EMS Week has a specific theme that we will be highlighting. Saturday’s EMS Week theme is EMS Remembrance Day — honoring EMS professionals who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities.

Today we pause to remember and recognize those members of the EMS community who lost their lives in the line of duty. We honor their dedication, compassion, courage, and unwavering commitment to helping others in their time of need.

We also recognize and remember the families, friends, and coworkers who continue to carry their memory forward. Their service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Friday is EMS Recognition Day
To recognize your local EMS heroes and those who save lives through the EMS system. On EMS Recognition Day, we honor members of the EMS community who regularly go above and beyond what’s expected. It’s a day to give gratitude to first responders for their unwavering commitment to serving their communities. Plan an awards event, a special meal, a gift-giving event, and other honors for EMS Recognition Day.

In recognition of EMS Week and as a small thank-you for the incredible work our crews do every day, we were proud to host a BBQ dinner for our staff and their families on two nights this week.

We would also like to extend a special thank-you to the Township for treating everyone to Mister Softee each night as well!

We are grateful for the dedication, professionalism, and compassion our EMS personnel show to the community each and every day.

Each day during EMS Week has a specific theme that we will be highlighting. Thursday’s EMS Week theme is Save-A-Life Day — promoting CPR, Stop the Bleed, and other community life-saving programs.

In an emergency, bystanders are often the first people on scene. Learning simple skills like CPR, bleeding control, and basic first aid can make a critical difference before EMS arrives. Save-A-Life Day encourages everyone to become prepared and confident to act when seconds matter.

Each day during EMS Week has a specific theme that we will be highlighting. Wednesday’s EMS Week theme is EMS for Children Day — recognizing the unique needs of children in emergency care settings.

Children are not just small adults. Caring for pediatric patients requires specialized training, equipment, communication skills, and an understanding of the physical and emotional needs of children during emergencies. EMS for Children Day also highlights the importance of community education programs focused on first aid, emergency preparedness, car seat safety, and bicycle safety.
