Our Cadet Program for the 2026-2027 school year kicks off October 7. The program is open to students in grades 8 – 12 who attend schools in Westchester County. The program will be held generally two Wednesday evenings a month, 6 to 8 p.m., at the Westchester County Police Academy in Valhalla.

Interested students must successfully complete the application packet as well an applicant screening process, including an interview and physical agility assessment, that will occur on a few dates in September. Application packets are due by September 9.

Sunday, 9/20 is the Mount Kisco Volunteer Fire Department annual 5K race. The route is not easily changed due to course certification/regulations, and we understand the traffic impact this year will be more challenging than usual. That said, please note the road closures below. Every effort will be made to end the event as early as possible. If coming south on N. Bedford Road, you'll be able to take Barker to McLain to get to S. Bedford Road. Those coming from the west on Main St./133 can take Maple to Lieto to Lexington to continue south.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as this important fundraiser for our first responders takes place.

El domingo 20 de septiembre se celebrará la carrera anual de 5 km del Departamento de Bomberos Voluntarios de Mount Kisco. La ruta no es fácil de modificar debido a las normativas y certificaciones del recorrido, y somos conscientes de que el impacto en el tráfico será más complicado de lo habitual este año. Por ello, le rogamos que tome nota de los cortes de tráfico indicados a continuación. Se harán todos los esfuerzos posibles para finalizar el evento lo antes posible. Si circula en dirección sur por N. Bedford Road, podrá tomar Barker y luego McLain para llegar a S. Bedford Road. Quienes vengan desde el oeste por Main St./133 podrán tomar Maple, seguir por Lieto y luego por Lexington para continuar hacia el sur.

We welcome the community to join us for a very special Spanish Through Movement event! Led by Anna Mayta, founder of Mayta Fusion Dance and educator with For the People and Kids, participants will move to the music of superstar Bad Bunny.

Through movement, rhythm, and interactive fun, families and community members of all ages will explore Spanish language while celebrating the rich culture, traditions, and spirit of Puerto Rico reflected throughout his music.

From island-inspired beats to joyful movement activities, this special edition of Spanish Through Movement invites everyone to dance, connect, and experience the power of music, culture, and community together.

911 Ceremony - 2026

The Village's 9/11 Memorial Ceremony begins with a procession from Green Street to the memorial adjacent to the library at 6:00 pm. The program will begin at 6:15 pm.

Please be advised that the entrance and exit to Shopper's Park will be closed at 2:00 pm. You can enter and exit the lot at the other end near Blackeby/Green St.

Main Street will be closed at Green St at 6:00 pm, and once the procession concludes, the closure will move to Blackeby Pl., and remain there until approximately 8:30 pm.

La ceremonia conmemorativa del 11 de septiembre de la localidad comenzará a las 6:00 p. m. con una procesión desde Green Street hasta el monumento situado junto a la biblioteca. El programa dará inicio a las 6:15 p. m.

Le informamos que la entrada y salida de Shopper's Park se cerrarán a las 2:00 p. m. Podrá entrar y salir del estacionamiento por el otro extremo, cerca de Blackeby Street y Green Street.

Main Street se cerrará a la altura de Green Street a las 6:00 p. m.; una vez finalizada la procesión, el cierre se trasladará a Blackeby Place y se mantendrá hasta aproximadamente las 8:30 p. m.
