We're doing a Read-a-thon Library Fundraiser now through August 12! Participants can gather sponsors to support their personal reading journey, not necessarily the number of books or minutes read. Read at your own pace, discover new stories, and celebrate a summer filled with reading. This fundraiser is meant for kids, but any age can participate!

This is NOT affiliated with our Summer Reading Program, but if you choose to participate in the fundraiser AND do the summer reading program, you can do them together.

Story Time on Wednesday was a summer celebration! Miss Alyssa read "The Summer Nick Taught His Cats to Read" and "Jabari Jumps". Kids enjoyed matching the color popsicle to its flavor on an interactive felt board, used their imaginations with colorful scarves, and made paper sunglasses at the end of the program.

Come to the Library (Thurs, June 11 at 6p) for a cozy evening story time where Miss Alyssa will read the books "A Happy Place" and "Perfectly Pegasus", and families can make their own "shooting star". This is a quiet story time where kids can get ready for bed before they visit (wear your pjs!), with the focus to unwind after a busy day.

Summer Reading is the perfect time to remind parents about our "1,000 Books before Kindergarten program", an early-literacy program for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers!
- Read books for Summer Reading and count them towards the 1000 books.
- Older siblings can read books to younger siblings and the books count for both!
- Grandparents can read to grandchildren, caregivers, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends can help, too! It all counts toward the goal of 1,000 books read to a child before kindergarten.

Reading 1,000 books is easier than you think! If you read 3 books a day (board books, picture books, bath-tub books, one of your books, etc), in one year you will have read 1,095 books to your child!

Information is available at our front desk.
