🚒 Incident Date: June 4, 2026
📍 Location: ANF Forest: Hamilton Township
(Lansing Fire)
🔥 Incident Type: (Brush/Wildland Fire)

Multiple units from surrounding agencies including some members here from Station 10 worked together to support ANF forestry operations with water supply needs. Crews on scene worked together on extinguishing hotspots and preventing further spread until released by the ANF forest crew.

This fire is still currently active, more crews will return tomorrow when it is safe to do so, please stay away from the area still.

As always, please use caution with any outdoor burning and report smoke or fire activity immediately to 911.

🔥 Wildfire Risk Update – McKean County 🔥
The current Fire Danger Status for Allegheny National Forest is MODERATE. There is an ongoing wildfire in the ANF.

While conditions are not extreme, wildfires can still start and spread, especially during dry and windy periods.

We encourage everyone enjoying the outdoors in McKean County to use extra caution and help protect our forests and communities.
✅ Fully extinguish campfires before leaving
✅ Dispose of ci******es properly
✅ Avoid parking vehicles on dry grass
✅ Follow all local fire regulations and restrictions.

Most wildfires are human-caused and preventable. A few simple precautions can make a big difference in keeping our forests safe.

🚒 Training Night 🚒

This evening, crew members conducted pump practice using a dry hydrant, reviewing drafting operations and water supply procedures to stay prepared for emergencies.

Crew members also worked with our junior firefighters on hose control, communication, attack tactics, and proper hose rolling techniques. These fundamental skills help build confidence, teamwork, and fireground readiness / safety.

Main St from just below Red Barn Hill (Lantz corners side) to somewhere over the bridge into town is one lane. Give yourself enough time to get through this and be aware of traffic patterns and work crews There is not somebody at every road crossing.
