We have some upcoming programs in the works and are hoping you have a dusty jar or cookie tin of cool old buttons stashed in a closet, or maybe some artificial flowers that you will never use?

We have a group of kids that regularly craft and build whatever their imaginations can come up with from our craft supplies so excess will certainly not go to waste!

We have set up the children's books left from the book sale so you can drop in and grab as many books as you would like for your classrooms!

There are books that range from babies to teens, so preschool teachers may also be interested!

What a fantastic time with the the PA Game Commission! Officers Havens and Slomian taught us so much about our native black bears…with 2 lucky participants a little more hands on than the rest who got to tag the ears!

This particular bear is male, 117lbs and over 2 years old. The Wardens explained he is a little small for his age and may have been malnourished as a cub. A tooth was pulled to send in for exact aging, which involves cutting the tooth to count the rings, yes, just like a tree!

Thank you to everyone who made it on such short notice and keep an eye out for future programs with the PGC!

Did you attend the Monarch classes with the Master Gardeners? The ID tags are now available for pick up! You will be hearing from Keith, so plan to stop on in for your tag and download the Monarch Watch app to upload your tagged butterfly info!

You didn't attend the classes but are interested for future tagging? MJML will be hosting the Master Gardeners again on October 17 for a repeat class!
