Be careful out here this afternoon and tonight. Extreme heat is leading to the potential for some severe storms and wind.
Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect until 8 PM this evening for portions the highlighted area on the map.
The primary concerns are damaging winds, intense lightning, and isolated large hail. Listen to NOAA Weather Radio All Hazards or visit weather.gov/phi for later statements and possible warnings.
You may also relay severe weather reports to us via this post. In particular, we are looking for reports of tornadoes/funnel clouds, wind gusts of 40 mph or greater, any-sized hail, flooding, and of course any damage (including photos).
