Written testing will be through National Testing Network (NTN) and must be submitted by February 27, 2026.

Mt. Healthy FD will be putting on our annual holiday luncheon on December 20th!

The luncheon will take place at noon in the truck bay at Station 74 (7700 Perry st. 45231)

This past week members of the department as well as Greenhills Fire Department participated in a three day Blue Card Certification class. We would like to thank all the instructors for all their hardwork teaching the class.

The Blue Card certification helps improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our fire department operations. The course enhances critical decision-making skills, enabling firefighters and officers to make quick and informed choices during incidents. Students engaged in realistic simulation exercises to practice critical-thinking skills in a controlled setting. The simulations focused on safety and reducing risks for firefighters and our external customers during emergency response situations.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lieutenant Doug "Socks" Eikens. Doug has been a fixture on our department for over 30 years and he also proudly served with Colerain Fire, Hamilton County Urban Search & Rescue (Ohio US&R Region 6) and Greater Cincinnati HazMat over the years. Starting as a volunteer and most recently serving as our Fire Inspector/Code Enforcement Officer he was also the CPR instructor and is personally responsible for training hundreds of local residents. His knowledge of our city, buildings, streets and department was unmatched and he readily shared that knowledge making us all better. Doug was a great friend to many and he will be missed dearly. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this time of loss. We will share any arrangements as details are finalized.
