WE ARE BACK BABY!

Summer was a blast, and we are ready to get back to it.

Our first honeysuckle removal is scheduled for September 27th at 9am at Heritage Park in Mt Healthy.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE: We will be working in Heritage Park at this event. There is no official parking lot for this park, so please park along St Clair Ave (be sure to not block any driveways!).

Snacks, drinks and tools will be provided in limited numbers and we are always looking for skilled chainsaw operators to join in on the fun.

UPDATE:

Due to the potential for rain this evening we will be postponing the Bug Hunt. Once the insects wings get wet, they can’t fly well making catching them even harder.

But don’t fear! We will be hosting this event at a future date, more details will be coming soon.

Join us to observe and celebrate all the things that go "bump" in the night with the first annual Mulberry Festival Bug Watch on June 7th at 9pm!...

Bugs you say? In my backyard? Absolutely!

We all know and love the pretty pollinators seen during the daytime, but there is a whole other world of insects, arachnids, and arthropods that provide essential biodiversity to our natural world.

As part of the Mount Healthy Mulberry Festival the Forest Ave Wetlands will be host to a bug hunt, June 7th at 9pm. Expert Entomologists and Ecologists will use non-lethal methods to sample the amazing diversity of bugs in our local park.

This weekend we picked up old bricks and cement chunks at the front of the park in continued clean up efforts. If anyone need scrap bricks/cement pieces they are free for the taking! Very helpful for lining garden beds or other projects.

Big thank you to our volunteers for braving the rain and getting work done!

It's that time again!
We have another removal coming, Saturday, May 3, at 9:30am.

This will be our last removal of the season, so let's make it a great one! Help us to continue making improvements in this park of ours, make some friends, get some sunshine, and do some good in our community!

We will provide snacks, water, some hand tools and some PPE. All we need from you is enthusiasm, bright and shiny faces, and just a little bit of hard work.
