All women are at risk for ovarian cancer, but older women are more likely to get the disease than younger women. About 90% of women who get ovarian cancer are older than 40, with the greatest number of women being 60 or older.
There is no way to know for sure is you will get ovarian cancer. However, there are some risk factors that may increase a woman's risk.

📚 Back-to-School Immunization Reminder! 💉

As students head back to school, now is a great time to review their immunization records and make sure they are up to date with Ohio’s school immunization requirements.

If your child is missing any required vaccinations, their school nurse may reach out to you. If they need an immunization, give us a call to schedule an appointment. We’re happy to help make sure your child is ready for a healthy and successful school year!

Each year, the Morrow County Health District, along with many dedicated partners throughout Morrow and surrounding Counties, come together to host the Amish Health and Safety Fair. This event is a wonderful example of the power of collaboration and the importance of working alongside the Amish community to address health and safety concerns that they may have.

Planning for the fair includes members of the Amish Safety Committee, who share current health and safety concerns within their community. Based on those conversations, we connect with agencies and organizations best equipped to provide information and education on those topics. Many additional agencies also participate by hosting informational tables and sharing valuable resources with attendees.

We want to give a HUGE shoutout to ALL of the agencies and organizations who helped make this event possible! Your time, knowledge, and commitment to the Amish community is truly appreciated.

A special thank-you to our township trustees and county commissioners who helped serve pizza and ice cream!
