Thank You for Supporting Shop with a Cop 2025

On behalf of the Town of Mount Gilead and the Mount Gilead Police Department, thank you for your generous support of our recent Shop with a Cop event. This program would not be possible without the collective efforts of our community, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed their time, resources, and goodwill.
Because of your generosity, 14 local children were able to participate in a memorable holiday shopping experience—one that extended far beyond gifts. The smiles, laughter, and sense of belonging created that day reflected the true spirit of our community.
We extend sincere appreciation to the individual donors, local businesses, clubs, churches, and former elected officials whose financial contributions made this event possible. Your continued investment in our youth and families makes a meaningful difference.
We also wish to recognize the law enforcement officers and volunteer chaperones who gave their time to ensure each child felt supported, safe, and celebrated. Their presence helped build positive connections that will last far beyond the day of the event.
Special thanks are extended to Burger Shack for generously providing lunch; the Mount Gilead Food Pantry for its continued partnership and support; and Walmart in Albemarle, North Carolina, along with its dedicated employees, whose assistance and hospitality were instrumental in the success of the shopping experience.
This event stands as a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished when a community comes together with compassion and purpose. Your kindness and generosity have made a lasting impact on our children and their families, and for that, we are truly thankful.
