Prayer request…
As many of you are aware, there was a house fire today in Stanly county that required quite a bit of mutual aid. (Help from other departments) This is a normal thing to do when help is needed. We are all one family. This afternoon we would like to ask for prayers for one of our brothers. There was a medical emergency towards the end of this call today which resulted in one of our own having to go to the hospital. (Not our department, but still our family) As of now, this firefighter has been treated and is resting comfortably. Please keep them, their family, and their fire family in your thoughts and prayers in the days to come.

LTFD is excited to announce that we have been awarded the 2026 Volunteer Fire Grant Fund grant. This is a matching grant given to departments across the state to help with purchasing much needed equipment. Our funds will be used to purchase new SCBA’s, hoses, a k-12 saw, and 5 new sets of gear. These grants are vital to the growth and needs of our local department. Equipment purchased is crucial for continued operations and firefighter safety.
