..FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of north central Ohio, including the following
counties, Marion and Morrow.

* WHEN...Until 930 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 626 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Localized rainfall amounts
between 0.5 and 1.5 inches have fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Mount Gilead, Cardington, Caledonia, Edison and Iberia.

Rain will begin to move into the region late this evening and be off and on through early Monday morning with the heaviest rain expected to be tonight into Saturday morning. Temperatures will warm over the next few days as well, with highs in the upper 70s by Monday.

At 814 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Galion to near Ashley to near Plain City. Movement was east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Marion, Mount Vernon, Mount Gilead, Fredericktown, Gambier, Utica, Cardington, Centerburg, Ashley, Danville, Waldo, Chesterville, Sparta, Waterford, Caledonia, Edison, Marengo, Fulton, Martinsburg, and Gann.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead

It will be mainly dry for most of today after a few showers this morning and early afternoon. Storms are expected to develop and move across the area late this afternoon and evening. Some storms may be severe, with damaging winds the main risk. Showers and some thunder linger overnight tonight.

of Marysville. Movement was northeast at 35 mph.
