Friday evening at 20:00 hrs Mt Eaton Fire department and surrounding departments were called to a local business for a fire. Local departments included Winesburg Volunteer Fire & EMS Kidron Volunteer Fire Department East Holmes Fire Department also the Wayne Co Fire Investigative Unit. Upon arrival found the situation not as dire as initially expected - the fire was contained to a smaller building not attached to the main structure. This structure was obviously not saved however everyone on scene did a great job. As well as fighting fires these men were also dealing with higher temperatures that evening making their job even more difficult - no injuries were reported. We would like to thank those that came to help!!
