The Bell Center is officially in its Soft Opening! From September 8th-11th, 9am-6pm, registered members can begin using the facility while FREE membership registration and building tours continue. *An adult is required to register youth members.*

Then, we celebrate big this Saturday, September 12th from 10am-1pm with the Grand Opening featuring food, music, a kids zone, giveaways, facility tours, community partners and more. The celebration is open to the public, so come see what’s waiting for you at 1010 Lincoln Avenue and get your FREE membership while you’re there!

An afternoon of live classical music is coming to the W.T. Bland Public Library ! Violinist Ilana Zaks performs Saturday, September 5th at 2pm, followed by a Q&A and opportunity to meet the artist. Zaks has performed nationally and internationally, including as first violinist with the Seattle Symphony and Seattle Opera.

In observance of Labor Day, City of Mount Dora city offices will be closed Monday, September 7th and will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, September 8th.

Please note these facility schedules:
-W.T. Bland Public Library: Closed Sunday, Sept. 6th & Monday, Sept. 7th
-Lincoln Avenue Community Pool: Open Monday, Sept. 7th from 7am - 2pm

The first phase of the Downtown One-Way Streets Project is complete. Alexander Street will reopen Thursday, September 3rd, as a one-way southbound street from 5th Avenue to 4th Avenue.

Drivers should pay close attention to new signage and traffic patterns as they travel through downtown.

The Mount Dora Police Department has made the decision to terminate its Flock license plate reader (LPR) deployment in response to recent public concerns and applicable state and county directives.

We recognize the importance of balancing public safety with privacy, transparency, and community trust. The Department appreciates the feedback received from our residents and remains committed to using responsible, lawful, and community-focused strategies to protect those who live, work, and visit Mount Dora.
